Graduated from the Film Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Department of Photography (Master of Fine Arts). Thanks to the Fulbright scholarship studied in a certificate program at the International Center of Photography in New York City, where he also worked as a Teaching Assistant.
In his work, there is a tight link between the photographic image and the digital postproduction. He is a specialist in demanding digital design. Besides the photographic work mostly for the architectural, industrial and crafts companies, public administrations, property and real-estate developers, Marian teaches at schools focused on advertising and photography.
In 2009, he was awarded by the Federation of European Photographers in Brussels and obtained the QEP title (Qualified European Photographer).
He works closely with prof. Miroslav Vojtěchovský, QEP. They work together not only in the context of teaching at schools, but also on selected photographic projects. They have received numerous awards, e.g. the 1st prize in the Photography Category in the Calendar of the Year Award; Finalists in the European Fine Art Photograph of the Year Award or Finalists in the PDN Photo Annual Award.
Marian also works on his own projects and assignments, many of which have been widely exhibited. He personally achieved a number of awards, among others: FEP Commercial Silver Camera in the FEP European Professional Photographer of the Year Awards; American Photography 19, Annual Award of the Committee for the American Professional Photography; The main prize for the Czech Republic in the Fujifilm Euro Press Photo Awards; 1. prize in the Sport category in the Czech Press Photo Awards; Photographer of the Year Nomination in the Czech Grand Design Awards; FEP European Fine Art Photograph of the Year Award; Photographic Publication of the Year Award, in the Calendar and Advertising Publication Category; FEP European Professional Photographer of the Year Award, etc.
In addition to solo exhibitions, he participated in dozens of group exhibitions at home and abroad. He is represented in the collections of galleries, institutions, organizations and private collections.
Since 2010, he is a board member of the Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic, and from 2012 its vice president.
